BDS Develops Sponsorship Strategy For The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

27/12/2021

BDS Sponsorship is proud to be working alongside the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo to define a comprehensive sponsorship strategy designed to attract relevant and valuable corporate partners.

Renowned for delivering world-class events firmly couched in the Scottish tradition, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a charitable organisation that supports the armed forces as well as national causes. Established in 1949, the Tattoo emerged out of the strong festival culture of Edinburgh and the ambition to create a distinct sense of identity and unity in Scotland.

By working with key internal stakeholders, BDS Sponsorship is designing a robust sponsorship strategy that aligns with the charitable objectives of the organisation and capitalises on the Tattoo’s iconic status to generate as much funding as possible. By taking this approach, it will be possible to increase the sponsorship potential of the events the Tattoo runs whilst at the same time ensuring that their partners are in line with their broader vision.

By working in this direction, our team is confident that upcoming events hosted by the Tattoo will be even more successful in communicating the aims of the organisation and maximising their charitable contributions. Altogether, this project provides BDS Sponsorship with an exciting opportunity to work alongside an organisation of historic importance as it makes strides towards the future.

BDS appointed by Westminster City Council to work on Marble Arch Mound

15/07/2021

Always excited by the prospect of working on cutting-edge projects, BDS is proud to announce that it has developed the sponsorship strategy for the Marble Arch Mound. Part of a brand new development, the Marble Arch Mound is a 25m high temporary mound that will provide visitors with outstanding views of the capital’s West End.

An initiative launched by Westminster Council, the innovative concept was pioneered by Dutch architectural firm MVRDV and is expected to rejuvenate tourist activity in Oxford Street and the surrounding areas.

With work now underway, the Mound will feature an impressive viewing platform nestled in mature trees and plants. Visitors to the attraction will reach this platform via a path that winds its way up the Mound’s southern slope before descending into the hall which is planned to host exhibitions and displays inside of its hollow core.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the temporary structure has been styled to leave behind as little waste as possible upon its removal. The team at MVRDV have also committed to reusing the structural as well as the cosmetic materials involved in the project. More specifically, the wood, soil, grass, leaves and trees will all find new uses in nearby gardens and recreational areas.

Tickets are now on sale to visit Marble Arch Mound, and BDS is delighted to have played a vital role in supporting a sustainable initiative that aims to bring the capital back to life once restrictions have been lifted.

BDS Sponsorship Teams Up With “KidsRights” to Deliver Sponsorship Strategy and Sales on a Global Scale

14/06/2021

BDS are proud to announce the signing of a deal to work with KidsRights, a foundation which seeks to give vulnerable children a voice. This retainer means that BDS will now take responsibility for the foundation’s overall sponsorship strategy on a global scale.

Established by Marc Dullaert in 2003, KidsRights is guided by a vision of creating a world where children’s rights are guaranteed, and where they can truly realise their own potential. For almost twenty years, KidsRights has provided a platform which empowers children to share their ideas with an international audience.

Supporting the goals of the foundation, KidsRights launched the International Children’s Peace Prize in 2005. Awarded to young people who fight courageously for children’s rights, the prize provides the winner with a global platform to promote their work as well as a project fund of €100,000.

Kids Rights LogoThe research carried out by KidsRights is similarly vital to how they operate and every year they publish the KidsRights Index as well as the KidsRights Report. The KidsRights Index stimulates the debate on children’s rights, and as such is a means for governments, organisations, children and the general public to take action for children’s rights. Based on the results of the Index, KidsRights advises governments on what they can do to improve children’s development.

Similarly, the KidsRights Report takes the work of winning peace prize recipients and conducts research on their key themes to broaden the understanding of historic and emerging issues. Previously, these areas of research have included child labour, marriage, violence and cyberbullying.

Ultimately, KidsRights strives to make a difference through action, advocacy and research. Facilitating and celebrating participation and influence in grassroots projects, the foundation measurably improves the lives and opportunities of children.

BDS is excited to be working closely with KidsRights and identifying key opportunities which will allow the foundation to make greater strides towards amplifying the voices of children.
