BDS Sponsorship provides diverse sponsorship opportunities for a genre-defying live act

27/07/2022

Fusing the unlikely yet powerful genres of street dance and classical ballet, Beats on Pointe brings art to the public by performing on the streets. With choreography spanning everything from contemporary breaking to hip-hop and jazz, performances are interspersed with comedy sketches, percussive breaks, beat-boxing and singing. With a headline show at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe and a range of dates across the UK, Beats on Pointe has developed a strong following since its debut back in 2016.

Providing a variety of sponsorship opportunities, BDS have created a presentation that outlines how Beats on Pointe offers sponsors the unique chance to get involved with brands in sectors as far apart as beauty and clothing. Every bit as exciting as the brands themselves, sponsors have the opportunity to have their name presented in street dancing performances and fashion shows. The presentation materials also reveal how Beats on Pointe has garnered the attention of international brands such as Heineken, Rolex, and Formula 1.

Recently approached by FEVER, a global ticketing platform, Beats on Pointe is set to become a strategic partner that will host shows across the globe. In addition to this exciting partnership, the act is also poised to be part of a TV documentary and feature length film.

By getting involved with Beats on Pointe, sponsors will have the opportunity to:

  • Obtain visibility through social media coverage to a large following
  • Receive tickets to performances
  • Attend meet and greet sessions with the performers
  • Host bespoke public performances
  • Enlist the performers for fashion shows and promotions

Ultimately, the sponsorship opportunities with Beats on Pointe are every bit as exciting as the performance itself. To find out more about the ways that BDS Sponsorship can transform your business with a powerful sponsorship strategy, simply get in touch today.

BDS Sponsorship Appointed by Scottish Canals

14/04/2021

BDS has recently been employed by Scottish Canals to develop a Sponsorship and Corporate Partnerships Plan.

Scottish Canals is the public corporation of the Scottish Government responsible for managing over 130 miles of the country’s inland waterways, including the Forth & Clyde and Union Canals, as well as 17 reservoirs and four lochs, such as Loch Ness. Scottish Canals also owns and operates the Falkirk Wheel and The Kelpies.

The Strategy document will provide recommendations that dovetail with Scottish Canal’s broader Corporate Plan and will include a focus on Health & Wellbeing, Sustainability and Innovation, specifically on the highly unique Smart Canal, which is a first of its kind in Europe. The Smart Canal combines the 250-year-old Forth & Clyde Canal with 21st century technology to mitigate flood risk as well as enable massive regeneration.

The benefits of a partnership with Scottish Canals are multifaceted and will include the opportunity to engage with a significant audience of 22 million visits per year.

BDS, on behalf of Diabetes UK, have developed a unique Sponsorship Proposition for their partnership with Fitbit

17/03/2021

Fitbit and Diabetes UK have launched a three-year partnership to help people live healthier and more active lifestyles.

The two organisations will work together to promote how healthy lifestyles can play a role in the prevention of type 2 diabetes and management of all types of diabetes. BDS worked closely with Diabetes UK to develop the sponsorship element of this multi-faceted partnership, creating a new mutually beneficial approach to sponsorship across the charity’s main challenge events, which starts with their flagship event – One Million Step Challenge.

One Million Step Challenge, as the name suggests, challenges participants to take one million steps over the course of three months during July to September. With the support of Fitbit, the event will be promoted to a wider audience, to extend its reach. It’s a fantastic way to encourage people to establish healthy habits, whilst raising money for the charity.

In addition to this challenge, the partnership will focus on recruiting volunteers to share their stories and showcase how a more active lifestyle can help reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, or help minimise the impact of living with any type of the condition. The partnership will also deliver a series of initiatives to encourage healthy behaviour change throughout 2021 and the coming years.

Reflecting on the strengths of the partnership, Chris Askew OBE, Chief Executive at Diabetes UK, explained how:

“We believe Fitbit is the perfect partner to our programmes supporting people with, and at risk of type 2 diabetes, to be active and to live healthier lives. Together, we hope to affect real change in the fight against all types of diabetes and we are very much looking forward to getting started.”

BDS are delighted to have helped Diabetes UK form this unique sponsorship proposition that promises to bring attention to the work and objectives of a fantastic charity, whilst at the same time promoting healthier lifestyles. Such a collaboration ultimately proves the enormous value that targeted partnerships offer to both brands and organisations. BDS appointed by National Forest Company to develop Strategic Partnership Strategy

19/11/2020

We are pleased to announce that we have been appointed by the National Forest Company (NFC) to develop a Strategic Partnership Strategy.

The NFC has created the biggest English broadleaf forest the country has seen for over a thousand years. This ambitious project is one of the biggest environmental regeneration projects in the world. The forest has been in intensive development for the last forty years and the NFC has overseen the planting of nearly nine million trees. The NFC is also responsible for managing this huge forest, which covers around 200 square miles in the Midlands.

The National Forest Company launched the ‘Greenprint Strategy’ in 2019. This new strategy is focused on the developments that will take place over the next twenty-five years of the forest. This vision is an exciting shift from transforming a landscape, and deals with crucial environmental issues, including mitigation and adaption relating to climate change.

The Greenprint Strategy is about creating real change, in a real place; it is a tangible example of a new blueprint for sustainable living, where trees are the key to transformation.

The Strategic Partnerships Strategy, managed by BDS Sponsorship Ltd, will include an audit of the current partnerships and will identify new company sponsorship opportunities based on the assets, ambitions and objectives of the NFC.

The strategic partnership strategy will also include commercial recommendations for the two major NFC events, the Timber Festival and The National Trek.

The Timber Festival is an international 3-day event that celebrates woodland culture and the transformative impact of the forests through music, art and debate.

The National Trek takes place every September and encourages people to get outdoors and use the Forest for exercise. A highlight of the National Trek event is a 75-mile hike through the Forest.

The potential benefits of a partnership with NFC include an association with one of the major regeneration projects in the world, significant CSR opportunities and the potential to engage with over 9 million people who visit the Forest each year.

The initial phase of the strategy development is now complete, and BDS have been appointed by the National Forest Company to undertake the strategic corporate partnership sales process.
