The Aspinall Foundation

BDS have been appointed to undertake a company sponsorship strategy for The Aspinall Foundation. The organisation are an internationally renowned animal conservation charity that works with Howletts Wild Animal Park and Port Lympne Reserve in Kent. Together they are committed to the breeding, reintroduction and protection of rare and endangered species.

BDS’s strategic approach within the strategy will focus the sponsorship on The Foundation’s work in some of the most sensitive conversation environments on the planet and to then integrate the Parks, situated within the UK, into this approach as one of a number of sponsor delivery mechanisms.

British Safety Council

BDS have recently completed a company sponsorship strategy for the British Safety Council (BSC). The British workplace is a far safer place than what it was since the organisation was formed in the 1950’s. The BSC’s founder, James Tye, was an evangelical campaigner who helped transform the way of British life with his efforts leading directly to the ground-breaking 1974 Health & Safety at Work Act as well as to the introduction of car seat belts.

In 2004, they became a government-regulated awarding organisation and have since developed a full suite of health and safety qualifications in the national framework​. They were granted the official status of Supplier of Health and Safety Training and Consultancy Services by the ODA to the London 2012 Games.​

Hillier Garden Centre

Following the completion of a sponsorship strategy, BDS have been employed by Hillier to obtain a Title Sponsor for the Hillier Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Hillier, the company known as “Horticultural Royalty”, hold the world record for their unbroken legacy of 71 consecutive Gold medals at The Chelsea Flower Show. Hillier own the 12 most upmarket garden centres in the UK attracting over 850,000 visitors p.a. from the “Symbols of Success” Acorn Classification. Along with Title Sponsorship of the Garden at Chelsea, the sponsor will also have a continuous presence at each of its 12 retail sites thus enabling the sponsor to promote its products/services.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach

BDS recently completed a brand sponsorship strategy for Blackpool Pleasure Beach and have now been employed to undertake the sponsorship sales process for one of the country’s most loved visitor attractions. Founded in 1896, BPB is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the UK and is one of the top twenty most visited amusement parks in the world.

Throughout its history, BPB has changed and evolved, but always with the intent to bring delight to all, whether through the excitement of the rides or the magic of its shows. Since its inception, BPB have been consistently voted one of the top 5 attractions in the UK (in the TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Awards).

Roald Dahl Festival

BDS undertook a sponsorship audit of all the activities undertaken by Aylesbury Vale District Council in order to determine which activities had additional sponsorship potential.

BDS identified the Roald Dahl Festival as having major potential and as a consequence have advised AVDC on how to adjust the festival in order to gain significantly greater sponsorship income.

The festival has been running for a number of years and this year’s Roald Dahl Festival marks the 100th anniversary of the Children’s Author’s birth.

The Triumph Rocket Streamliner

BDS have been employed by Triumph Motorcycles to secure a Title Sponsor for their World Speed Record attempt for a Motorcycle.

The 1,000bhp Triumph Rocket Streamliner is unique in streamliner design being the first land speed streamliner to feature a carbon kevlar monocoque. Powered by two turbo-charged, methonal-fuelled Triumph Rocket III engines this incredible machine has been designed with a goal of 400mph firmly in mind. Designed by aerodynamic engineer and hot rod supremo Matt Markstaller with engine development led by two-time NHRA Pro Stock drag racing champion Bob Carpenter the Triumph Rocket Streamliner – a pairing who already a Bonneville speed record on a tuned Triumph Rocket street bike.

Triumph have a long history in building the world’s fastest motorbikes. From 1955 through 1970 a variety of Triumph Motorbikes held the World Speed Record at Bonneville Salt Flats. As a result, in 1959 they launched the Triumph Bonneville, the World’s Fastest Production Bike and will also build a special edition motorcycle in recognition of the sponsor. If weather conditions at Bonneville are unsuitable when the attempt is due to take place, in August 2016, then the attempt will be put back to January 2017 and occur then at Lake Gardiner in Australia.

The many famous riders / owners of Triumph Motorcycles include Steve McQueen (in “The Great Escape”), Tom Cruise and most recently David Beckham.

Ridden by speed fanatic and TV host, Guy Martin, the sponsor will benefit from global association with innovation, speed and the most extreme of thrills through owned, earned and broadcast media channels. Additionally, the adventure will be the subject of a 90 minute documentary to be broadcast to 4.4 billion subscriber homes in 22 countries.
