Hackney Empire
Having recently completed a brand sponsorship strategy for Hackney Empire, BDS have been employed to undertake the Sponsorship Sales process.
For 115 years, the transformative power of theatre and music at Hackney Empire has vastly enriched the lives of this culturally diverse community, with the theatre boasting over 250,000 visitors a year.
Hackney Empire has developed their artist development and artistic programme in response to the findings of the National Opera Report and the Andrew Lloyd Webber Report which both highlighted that more focus is required to deliver a pathway for BAME artists to achieve global success in the Arts.
Over the next five years, they will be making exceptional work with exceptional partners (Opera Philadelphia; Harlem’s Apollo Theater; Armel Festival Budapest; English National Opera; Royal Opera House; Musiektheater Transparant Antwerp together with a cross section of UK regional theatres). These collaborations will be much more than a sharing of resources: the focus is on building bridges for audiences into opera and breaking boundaries within the art form itself.
Children In Need
BDS are delighted to have been appointed to undertake commercial consultancy by BBC Children In Need, the BBC’s UK corporate charity.
Children In Need’s vision is that every child in the UK has a childhood that is safe, happy, secure and allows them the chance to reach their potential. They achieve this by providing grants to projects in the UK, which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. The 2,400 projects which Children In Need currently support empower children and extend their life choices, and are local to people in all corners of the UK.
East Shopping Centre
BDS have been appointed to complete a brand sponsorship and marketing strategy for East Shopping Centre, Europe’s first and only purpose-built boutique Asian shopping centre. Since it opened its doors in 2015, East has fast become a shopping destination for weddings, parties, events and South Asian everyday wear. It is the number one destination in Europe for Asian Bridalwear.
Built on a one-acre site of a former bus depot, East houses leading designer brands, luxury jewellery, modest fashion, accessories, food and more. East focuses on creating the ultimate shopping experience for its visitors, with a sense of luxury in each store, whilst still being as sustainable as possible.
Titanic Belfast
BDS have been employed by Titanic Belfast to complete a brand sponsorship strategy for Titanic Belfast, the world’s largest Titanic visitor experience.
The attraction extends over nine interpretive and interactive galleries, which explore the sights, sounds, smells and stories of RMS Titanic. In December 2016, Titanic Belfast won the title of the World’s Leading Tourist Attraction at the prestigious World Travel Awards, and has been described as “an inspiring testament to the Titanic and the city that built it”.
ONE Pro Cycling
BDS are delighted to have been appointed to undertake commercial consultancy and to secure major sponsors for ONE Pro Cycling, a professional cycling team founded by former England cricketer Matt Prior.
ONE Pro Cycling have the ambition and drive to progress in the future to the biggest races in the cycling world, such as the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espana. There’s a lot more to come; they, like us, are driven to succeed and we are excited about the possibilities which lie ahead.
