BDS have recently completed a company sponsorship strategy for the British Safety Council (BSC). The British workplace is a far safer place than what it was since the organisation was formed in the 1950’s. The BSC’s founder, James Tye, was an evangelical campaigner who helped transform the way of British life with his efforts leading directly to the ground-breaking 1974 Health & Safety at Work Act as well as to the introduction of car seat belts.
In 2004, they became a government-regulated awarding organisation and have since developed a full suite of health and safety qualifications in the national framework. They were granted the official status of Supplier of Health and Safety Training and Consultancy Services by the ODA to the London 2012 Games.
